Diversity scored as one of the most material issues of us and our portfolio during our 2022 screening. It remains a key issue for the industry as a whole, both with regards to the founders we back and to how they run their operations. One thing that we can do as investors is to start tracking key metrics and benchmark our portfolio. At Northzone, we don’t believe in setting portfolio targets but we do believe in the power of benchmarks.
In this section, we asked our portfolio company Ravio for help to dive deeper into one of the key metrics that are developing to support the diversity field: The gender pay gap.
