As of 25 March. The Government has put forward several propositions to the Parliament, most of all contained in one amended budget proposition. The amended budget was presented 16 March to the public, officially handed in 19 March and **was voted on 2 April.** The new package came into effect 7 April. This section is being continuously updated as we receive more information.
Short term working hours additional support (Sw. Sw. korttidspermittering or korttidsarbete*)***
The state can account for a larger amount of an employer's salary costs. An employer can thereby reduce its salary costs by half. The construction is similar to short-term work, but the degree of subsidy is greatly increased. In addition, an employee receives more than 90% of their salary. The salary cap is set at maximum SEK 44,000, and this maximum salary level is then used in the calculation for support. The proposal is proposed to come into force on April 7, 2020 and to be valid during 2020, but it will apply from the March 16, 2020. New rules were presented on 14 April, announcing companies can reduce their employees' working hours up to 80% now (prev. 60%).

Responsibility for sick pay
The state is proposed to temporarily take over the responsibility for all sick pay costs during April and May 2020. Self-employed people are also compensated by receiving a standardized sickness benefit for day 1-14.
Liquidity strengthening through tax and payment respites (Sw. anstånd**)**
The proposal means that companies can defer payment of employer contributions, preliminary tax on salary and value added tax, which are reported monthly or quarterly. The deferral comprises three months' tax payments and is submitted for a maximum of 12 months. The new rules are proposed to come into force on April 7, 2020 but can be applied retroactively from January 1, 2020. This proposal was updated to some extent on 25 March 2020 by the Government.
