Welcome to the Northzone Public Sustainability Notion. Here we share our sustainability journey as we take a more strategic stance on all issues connected to sustainability; from responsible scaling to impact.

We have decided to share our journey as we believe that this is one of the key things that we can do to advance the sustainability agenda beyond our own operations. Our position in the ecosystem - between LPs and founders and with a 27-year-long experience from supporting the European and North American start-up scene - has provided us with a platform that we can use for sharing perspectives, promoting more sustainable VC practices and fostering collaboration.

That being said, this is not meant as a playbook. We don’t believe that we have all the answers and we are convinced that each organisation needs to find their own sustainability path based on its’ core competencies, setting and needs. Instead, we share our process to provide inspiration, some learnings and to ensure that our sustainability work doesn’t just leverage Northzone but benefits as many as possible and speeds up the transition of the venture industry.

Chapters and Next Steps

As we develop our processes, we will continuously release new Notion Chapters and sometimes update the ones already released. Each chapter will be dedicated to a certain topic - ranging from our own first strategic overview to the tools we develop, collaboration efforts, best industry practices, case studies and much more.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have comments, suggestions, best practices or ideas for new chapters. Succeeding with the sustainable transition will require a whole new way of collaborating with all of us challenging and inspiring each other.
